Results Require Action!

Volumes are written extolling the virtues of creativity in the workplace.  We all invest time in brainstorming, and daydreaming about the how to improve our programs, products and client services.  New ways of looking at opportunities and challenges can set organizations on new paths; however, what separates the merely successful organizations from the truly great institutions is disciplined execution on those new ideas.

In order to be successful, organizations, teams and individuals must plan and implement a defined course for change. Planning focuses energy, changes outcomes and result in greater long-term organizational impact.  Planning should influence the hundreds or thousands of individual actions that take place in an organization on a daily basis.  How is the energy contained in these thousands of actions harnessed for achieving the most critical objectives?
